NEWS:
*Middle School Dance this Saturday, April 9th, from 6-9pm! All proceeds go to the JoMaNa Team's fund-raising effort for NOLA. We hope many of you will be there to chaperone or help set/clean up.
ACADEMICS:
Language Arts: 1) We are continuing our study of Media Influences. This week we are focusing on critically analyzing advertisements for gender stereotypes and roles. 2) Homework was given Mon and Tue: To look at ads either in print or a commercial and answer the five questions (took notes in their Writing Notebook). 3) Vocabulary due on Friday. Students are challenged to earn a PERFECT score on their next spelling/definitions test. There was a major improvement in the definitions test last week, but students still need to study their spelling words.
Math: 1) TEST today. 2) Inv. 4.1 page 75 all
Reading: 1) Next genre study is POETRY. Requirements for genre project will be given out Thursday. Due April 29th
Social Studies: 1) Current Events due Wednesday 2) Continuing study of Africa! Notetaking and review of music today.
Science: 1) Notetaking today on elements and compounds. Page 88-89 chart due this week.
